” think the products are lovely, and I’m interested in checking out their body products now too.” @skinfullofseoul – January 2018

I usually don’t accept much PR outside of the Asian beauty sphere, but this NZ brand, The Cream, really got my attention with their hand and lip cream.

All of their products are 100% natural and made from up to 85% New Zealand colostrum (ethically collected). For each product the first ingredient is colostrum- you can read more about this on their website. Both of the products I’ve tested have a sweet, baked-goods type scent which I like! They’re also both organic.

Their lip cream is made of 70% colostrum along with lots of oils and wax. The texture is like a cream rather than a lip balm.
It gets fully absorbed quite quickly rather than laying on top of lips like many balms. I’ve been using it different to a prepping balm, in that I’m applying it during my skincare routine and letting it absorb before I apply any balm or lipstick at a later point. It definitely moisturizes and leaves my lip skin so soft.
The only downside is that it clings a little to my dry patches and makes them kinda white? But then because they’re softened by the cream they’re easy to exfoliate off. Overall I’m very happy with this for my super dry lips! It’s a v. useful step ??
.
Their hand cream is made up of 65% colostrum and again a bunch of oils and wax. I really struggle with dry hands and this has been hugely helping so far to keep them soft and supple. There is some oiliness until the cream absorbs but it’s not gross and sloppy- it’s just there, and it does fully absorb within about 5 mins. The packaging is so hygienic with the airless pump which I love, and one pump is enough for an application. You get 100ml in the bottle.

The products aren’t cheap ($35 for the lip cream and $54 for the hand cream), but I think the quality of the packaging, the ingredients, and the ethical process of collecting the ingredients, are all reflected in the price. It really depends on your budget ofc. I think personally I’d struggle to justify $54 for a hand cream, but for my extremely dry lips I’d pay $35. Each to their own! I think the products are lovely, and I’m interested in checking out their body products now too ?thank you @thepinkcowbrand ?
